Marsupalia.com was originally created to be a database for my personal photography of native wildlife in Australia It has now become more of a reference site for people, and hopefully something that teaches people about the animals here in Australia (and New Guinea, I suppose. =)
We make a point to visit as many sanctuaries as possible and upload both professional quality high resolution images as well as low res shots. Most high resolution images will be taken at sanctuaries, and low res shots will usually be taken in our backyard or of truly "wild" animals. Each gallery will tell you a little about the species, links to more information, and the information behind the photo shoot.
We're not sure yet what the eventual goal of the site will be. At the moment we're making the site for fun, because I love photography and I'm completely obsessed with the animals of Australia anyways, so what could be better than sharing what I know, see and learn? Anyways, stay tuned as we implement the main site.
